How can we help?
Find your way. From your first conversation to room settings.
Guides to using Dilack
Get started with Dilack
Create an account and find your space.
- Choose Log in or Create your space on the homepage. Registration requires a name, email and password of at least 12 characters.
- Google appears when configured. GitHub integration is prepared, but activation still requires configuration.
- Create your first server using + in the sidebar or accept an invitation. Having an account does not grant access to other people’s private servers.
Account and sign-in methods
Password, Google and GitHub on one profile.
- Open the gear next to your profile and find Sign-in methods. Select Link for an available provider and authorize access.
- Link while signed in to the account you want to keep. Your servers and permissions stay associated with it. Accounts are not automatically merged by email.
- Under Create password or Change password, enter and confirm a password with at least 12 characters. Creating your first password requires a verified email and signing in within the last five minutes. Changing a password also requires the current password.
- Legacy ChatGPT accounts remain separate. Email password recovery is not yet available; contact support@dilack.com for access issues.
Invite people and manage permissions
Control who joins your server.
- Click the invite and manage icon above the channel list. Available options depend on your role.
- Create an invitation, choose its expiration and use limit, and share the link. The recipient must sign in and accept it.
- Current roles are owner, administrator, moderator and member. Channels can require a minimum role.
- Expired, revoked or exhausted invitations cannot be used. Ask an administrator for a new link. Copying a channel link does not replace a server invitation.
Channels and participants
Join the conversation with a double-click.
- Create a channel with a name, icon and description. This option is only available with the required permissions.
- Double-click a channel to join. You can also use Enter or Space with the channel focused.
- You join with your microphone and camera off. Use the profile or call controls to turn them on.
- The list beneath the channel shows participants in your current call and their states. Use the leave-call button to disconnect.
Microphone, headphones and room sounds
Quick adjustments without leaving the conversation.
- The microphone button toggles transmission. The headphone button mutes incoming audio and temporarily disables your microphone.
- The microphone arrow opens input selection and browser noise suppression. The headphone arrow opens output selection and volume.
- Voice settings in the quick menu opens the full panel. If devices are missing, allow microphone access in your browser. Output selection depends on browser support.
- Under Room sounds, adjust or disable notifications for joining, leaving and microphone, camera or sharing changes. They are intended for people in the same room and respect deafening.
- The soundboard and user-uploaded sound library are paused. They are separate from automatic room notifications.
Camera and screen sharing
Choose grid, focus or expanded view.
- Inside a channel, click the camera and allow browser access. To present, click Share screen and choose a tab, window or screen in the browser picker.
- Screen sharing in this version does not include screen audio. Use your microphone to speak.
- Grid distributes participants and presentations. Focus enlarges one and keeps the others as thumbnails; the pin icon selects the focus.
- Expand or Full screen enlarges the view. Use Back to room or Esc to restore it.
- Use Stop sharing or the browser’s own control to end a presentation. Check what is visible before sharing.
Language and appearance
Personalize your interface.
- Open the profile gear. Under Preferences, choose Português or English and a theme.
- Available themes are Dilack, Nebula, Aurora and Breeze. Your preference is remembered in the browser.
- Language changes translate the interface without changing names or descriptions created by users.
I cannot hear or connect
Checks to get your call working again.
- Make sure you joined the channel, are not deafened and have output volume above zero.
- Check your selected device and browser and system permissions. Camera, microphone and screen capture may have separate permissions.
- If another application is using the device, close it and try again. You can also leave and rejoin the channel.
- Some corporate networks, VPNs or routers block direct connections. TURN relay infrastructure is still pending; trying another network may help.
- When reporting an issue, include your browser, operating system, approximate time and reproduction steps. Do not send passwords, tokens or secret keys.
